Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery, the acclaimed restaurant and brewery at San Antonio’s historic Pearl, has been recognized with a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for the third consecutive year in the MICHELIN Guide Texas.
The distinction recognizes Southerleigh’s high-quality cooking and approachable value, as well as its Texas coastal cuisine, fresh seafood, and brewery program.
“We’re incredibly proud to receive the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for the third year in a row,” said Jeff Balfour, Executive Chef and Co-Founder of Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery. “For our entire team, this recognition is a reflection of the work we put into every dish, every oyster, every plate, and every guest experience. We’re grateful to MICHELIN for recognizing what we’re building here in San Antonio and especially proud to continue representing the Gulf Coast through our food.”
Southerleigh’s Chef de Cuisine, Aaron Juvera, is also an Oyster Master Guild Level One recipient, recognized for expertise in oyster cultivation, varieties, handling, and service. His knowledge informs Southerleigh’s celebrated oyster program and culinary offerings.
Southerleigh first received the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand in 2024, following the MICHELIN Guide’s inaugural Texas selection, and has retained the distinction in each subsequent annual guide.
“This is our third year in a row earning the Bib Gourmand, and we never want to take that recognition for granted,” added Juvera. “Every day we take ‘May Our Paths Cross’ to heart. Our celebration of Gulf Coast food and Texas oyster mariculture has shaped who we are, and it will keep guiding us as we grow. We work with independent Texas oyster farms along the Gulf Coast, and through Sink Your Shucks, our shells go back into local waters to help restore Texas oyster reefs. We’ll keep cooking great food and giving our guests a reason to come back.”
