Cracker Barrel has named former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan its first “Chief Pancake Officer” for a campaign calling for pancake blocks to be recognized as an official football statistic.
The “Make Pancake Blocks Official” campaign plays on the football term for a block that knocks a defender to the ground. Beginning September 21, Cracker Barrel and Lewan are asking fans to support the effort by signing a petition at PancakePetition.com, sharing the campaign and ordering pancakes at Cracker Barrel. The company says each pancake order will count toward the campaign.
As part of the promotion, Cracker Barrel will offer $5 all-you-can-eat pancakes on National Pancake Day, Saturday, September 26.
