Ted’s Montana Grill, the classic American grill known for elevated, timeless cuisine with bold flavors and fresh, authentic ingredients, has announced that all locations will close annually on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day so the team can celebrate with the people who matter most.
“We’re grateful for our passionate, dedicated team, who give their best year-round and bring what we call the ‘Big Sky Spirit’ to life every day,” said George McKerrow, CEO and co-founder of Ted’s Montana Grill. “A spirited culture is built on the belief that the best guest experiences start from a team that feels supported and valued. Thanksgiving has been one of our biggest sales days, but family comes first, and giving our team time with loved ones is one way we show our appreciation.”
Ted’s commitment to its team comes during a year of positive momentum. Guest ratings on Yelp and Google have increased for four consecutive years. Internal management survey results also underscore the strength and engagement of Ted’s leadership team, with 100% participation and an impressive score of 3.97 out of 4, reflecting strong confidence in the Ted’s Montana Grill concept.
The spirit of the season will extend beyond Ted’s own team too. Ted’s Montana Grill will host special holiday dinners for families facing hardship, offering a welcoming place to gather, share a heartwarming meal, and experience the warmth of genuine hospitality. Community members are invited to nominate families who have faced challenges or demonstrated extraordinary strength, kindness or generosity.
Ted’s is also renewing its commitment to an exceptional dining experience. Every single team member will receive refreshed training on delivering the ‘Big Sky Spirit’ at every step of the guest journey. This includes comprehensive steak training, preparing feel-good, high-quality meals in-house with no microwaves or freezers, and treating every guest like family in their own home.
“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and every guest deserves to feel that from the moment they walk through our doors,” said Ted’s Montana Grill President Kristi Martin. “The Big Sky Spirit is about more than great food. It’s about genuine hospitality, attention to every detail, and doing things the right way, with no shortcuts. We’re committed to delivering a best-in-class experience every time, serving real food for real people, and making every guest feel like part of the family.”
