Waffle House is going green.
The country’s largest casual chain is partnering bp pulse to install electric car charging stations at locations throughout Texas, Georgia, Florida, and other markets in the South and Southeast. According to bp, each site will feature six “ultrafast EV charging bays,” with the first ones going live sometime in 2026.
“Waffle House is thrilled to collaborate with bp pulse to offer our customers a safe, well-lit and welcoming place to enjoy Good Food Fast any time of day,” David Repp, Waffle House’s director of innovation, said in a statement. “Charging up while fueling up on an All-Star Special will be convenient and fast—a perfect option for enjoying the Waffle House experience while charging your EV on the go.”
bp pulse has more than 40,000 charge points globally, with the U.S having over 8,000 in 46 states.
“Adding an iconic landmark like Waffle House to our growing portfolio of EV charging sites is such an exciting opportunity,” Suyjay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse, said in a statement. “As an integrated energy company, bp is committed to providing efficient solutions like ultrafast charging to support our customers’ mobility needs. We’re building a robust network of ultrafast chargers across the country, and this is another example of third-party collaborations enabling access to charging co-located with convenient amenities for EV drivers.”
This isn’t Waffle House’s first foray into EV charging stations.
Last year, Waffle House announced a partnership with EV charging company EnviroSpark to install electric vehicle charging stations at two of its restaurant locations—Lakeland, Tennessee, and Tifton, Georgia. These projects are backed by NEVI (National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) funding, which helps cover up to 80 percent of installation costs through state transportation departments.
