Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar announced today the release of its new Fleming's 100, a selection of 100 wines by the glass, exclusively offered at its 66 locations.

Each year, Maeve Pesquera, Fleming's national director of wine, curates the new wine list and collaborates with wineries and winemakers to offer one-of-a-kind wines to Fleming's Guests.

"At Fleming's, we want to allow guests to explore wine and be adventurous with their journey," Pesquera says. "We are the only restaurant company nationwide to offer such diverse options of wines by the glass and continue to look for new ways to enrich our guests' experience by diversifying our offerings."

The Fleming's 100 takes a year to create and has something for every palate, including wines from traditional growing regions and more than 30 wines by the glass for $10 and under. Wines from the Fleming's 100 can be enjoyed several ways: by the glass, as part of a flight, as a Big Pour, or by the bottle.

Guests can select any wine from the Fleming's 100 to create their flight. The Fleming's Big Pour allows guests to savor a glass and a half of any Fleming's 100 wine. All wines on the list are also available by the bottle.

The Fleming's 100 is also available on the Fleming's WiNEPAD, a custom app that helps guests easily navigate the restaurant's extensive wine list. This tableside application is available only at Fleming's and takes the guesswork out of ordering wine, while also offering food pairing suggestions.

In addition to curating the Fleming's 100, Pesquera works side-by-side with an iconic winemaker each year to create a custom blend and release a private-label wine, the Forty-Six Diamonds. This handcrafted boutique wine is available exclusively at all 66 Fleming's locations.

"I am proud to have partnered with the Stotesbery family of Ladera Vineyards on Napa's famed Howell Mountain," Pesquera says. "The focus at Ladera is making Estate Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon, and we have created a beautiful expression that speaks to the high elevation, volcanic and clay soils, and Ladera's commitment to excellence."

The Forty-Six Diamonds Cabernet Sauvignon, which will be released Oct. 24, 2014, was aged for 20 months in 60 percent new French oak before the final blend was assembled and offers deep fruit aromas.
