As part of its 10th anniversary, Ted's Montana Grill begins its final fundraising push to fulfill its $150,000 pledge to Share Our Strength with the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry event next week from September 16-September 22, when guests will receive a $5 gift certificate from Ted's for a donation of $5 or more to the cause.
The national Dine Out for No Kid Hungry week includes thousands of restaurants raising funds to support Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. During the week, all Ted's Montana Grill guests who donate $5 or more while dining at any location will receive a certificate good for $5 off a future purchase of $20 or more.
Fans who donate $5 or more via the Ted's Montana Grill Facebook page will also receive the same offer from September 16-22. And throughout September, restaurant guests can donate to No Kid Hungry by simply circling a donation amount of $1, $5, $10, or more on their receipts.
Now in its fifth year, Dine Out for No Kid Hungry has raised more than $4 milion for the No Kid Hungry campaign, which aims to end childhood hunger in America by pairing access to nutritious food with education about food.
The program ensures children have consistent access to healthy food and educated parents and caregivers about their food resources, buying groceries on a budget, and cooking healthy.
"We're so proud to support No Kid Hungry and the work it is doing," says George McKerrow, cofounder and CEO of Ted's Montana Grill. McKerrow has been involved with Share Our Strength for more than 15 years. "Dine Out for No Kid Hungry is a great opportunity for the restaurant industry to rally around this important cause and help make a difference in the lives of millions of children in America."
The restaurant company, led by McKerrow and Ted Turner, made the historic pledge to No Kid Hungry earlier this year as a way to commemorate its 10th anniversary. Ted's Montana Grill opened its first restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, in January 2002.
"Partnering with this campaign was the perfect way for us to give back as we reached our 10-year mark," McKerrow says. "At Ted's, we've always embraced practices that help make our world a better place and Share Our Strength does just that. By giving hungry children access to nutritious meals, we're shaping a better future for our country."
