Casio America, a leading point-of-sale (POS) system supplier, announced its partnership with MicroSale to help quick service restaurants streamline costs and increase efficiency.
Casio enlisted MicroSale, a restaurant software company, to create a feature-rich software application called TabPOS for its portfolio of Android-based POS systems including the V-R100, V-R7000 and V-R7100.
"Quick service restaurant owners seek POS systems that are not only cost-effective, but also help their businesses run more efficiently," says Larry Sampey, general manager of Casio's system products division. "With TabPOS by MicroSale built-in, Casio's Android terminals provide another level of speed, flexibility, and ease of use for thousands of different users."
TabPOS enables streamlined register performance with advanced cloud reporting. Users can view consolidated data, such as sales summaries, product mixes, discount reports, inventory, and management in real-time from anywhere on an internet-enabled device.
Delivery and phone order functionality comes standard with TabPOS. Users can even take an order for a future time or date and pull up saved customer information. Restaurant employees can also cash out orders in seconds with credit cards, cash, or gift cards.
"We have selected the best hardware on the market in order to provide quick service restaurants with a low-cost, fast, high-functioning system,” says Ben Dowdy, president of MicroSale (KIS Software).
Casio's V-R100 was the first Android-based all-in-one product introduced exclusively for the POS industry. The register is equipped with a 10.4" adjustable color touch screen, an attached high-speed thermal printer, Ethernet port, serial ports, and a built-in swivel 2X20 customer display.
The V-R100's open platform enables the terminal to leverage a variety of software applications, which are designed for a number of businesses. The V-R7000 and V-R7100 also run on the Android operating system and are designed without a fan, hard disk drive, or any movable components to ensure efficient store operations by eliminating common problems experienced with PC-based hardware.
Like the V-R100, these terminals run third party, ISV (Independent Software Vendors), Android-based POS applications. Additional applications available on the V-R7000 and V-R7100 include grocery/convenience store, pizza, concession stand, hospitality, and apparel store. Casio also provides a software development kit to ISV's in order to facilitate their software running on these new models.
