Amazon.com Tuesday announced that Prime members in Manhattan can now enjoy free one-hour delivery from local restaurants, including Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken, Burger Joint, ilili, John’s of Bleecker Street, Junior's Restaurant & Cheesecake, Le Pain Quotidien, Momofuku Milk Bar, Num Pang, Sarabeth’s Tribeca, and many more. Using the Prime Now mobile app or by visiting the new Prime Now website, Manhattan customers can view participating restaurants, browse menus, place orders, track the status of their delivery, and watch as their delivery driver travels from the restaurant to the delivery address in real time.

“Amazon Prime members across Manhattan have already experienced the convenience of ultra-fast delivery through Prime Now,” says Gus Lopez, general manager, Amazon Restaurants. “And now, we are making it even better by adding free delivery from hundreds of local restaurants.”

Once an order is placed, Amazon delivery partners deliver the food in an hour or less. Amazon Restaurants offers customers transparent pricing—there are no menu markups or hidden service fees—and delivery on all orders is free for Prime members. If a customer finds a restaurant item that is priced higher than the regularly priced item on the restaurant’s current online menu within 24 hours of placing the order, Amazon will refund the customer the price of the item.

“We have been serving our world-famous, coal-fired brick oven pizza to New Yorkers and tourists since 1929 and we are excited to now offer customers free delivery through Amazon Restaurants,” says Pete Garcia, general manager, John’s of Bleecker Street. “Amazon Restaurants’ commitment to fast delivery and great customer service made it an easy choice when looking at which delivery provider we could trust with our customers and pizzas.”

Amazon Restaurants is available from more than 350 local restaurants spanning 40 cuisine types across Manhattan, from Chelsea to the East Village and Harlem to the Financial District.
