Seattle's Pike Place Market is known for its wide range of restaurants, bakeries, and take-out counters. On April 25, the usual culinary offerings will double in number for one night, as the annual Arcade Lights tasting festival returns to the market.

The purpose of the Arcade Lights festival is to bring in local and regional vendors of artisan sweet and savory foods, craft beer, and wine to introduce their flavors to new customers. It's a one-night, after-hours event with more than 60 local purveyors. This year, purveyors will include local breweries, wineries, and food artisans, including Whidbey Island Winery, 7 Seas Brewing Company, Simple & Crisp, and Seductive Specialty Foods.

Arcade Lights is also a longtime starting ground for local small businesses that develop into bigger ideas, including Starbucks, Rachel's Ginger Beer, Mt. Townsend Creamery, and Delve Kitchen. The event is presented by the Pike Place Market Preservation & Development Authority.
