Famous Dave's of America, Inc. announced the Salisbury, Md. location will close at the end of the day on March 30.

"We have been a proud member of this community since the fall of 2008," says John Spoon, director of operations for Famous Dave's of America. "We appreciate the support we have received from our guests, team members, area businesses and residents over the past five-and-a-half years."

Famous Dave's opened its first location in the Maryland market 14 years ago in Columbia. Spoon adds that, "while it's always difficult to close a restaurant, we remain committed to a long-term strategy for the region." Famous Dave's took a non-cash impairment for this location in the third quarter of 2013. Through a collaborative partnership, the lease for the restaurant at 2318 N. Salisbury Blvd. will be turned over to the new tenant, The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille, who is relocating from its current Salisbury location later this summer.
