Denny's Opens First South America Restaurant

Denny's, the world's largest full-service family dining chain, announced it has entered South America with the opening of its first restaurant in Chile. Located in the Las Condes section of Santiago, the new location is operated in partnership with local partner the Musiet Group as a part of an exclusive development agreement to open 10 locations in Chile over the next 15 years. Denny's is the first American family-dining chain to expand its footprint to Chile.

"Our expansion into South America is an important milestone for Denny's global ambitions. We're excited to bring the "America's Diner" experience to our new guests in Chile," says John Miller, Denny's CEO and president.

Rolando Musiet, President of the Musiet Group, says, "We are very honored to open Denny's first restaurant in Chile and South America. We believe Denny's is the global diner allowing us to differentiate ourselves from other restaurants by offering Denny's craveable breakfast, lunch, and dinner items served 24-hours a day."

Denny's Senior Vice President of Global Development, Steve Dunn, added, "The Chile grand opening also comes on the heels of Denny's first restaurant opening in El Salvador and a twelfth location opening in Puerto Rico. Today, we are proud to say Denny's is the largest family-dining chain across the globe and we are fortunate to have such a great franchise partner as the Musiet Group leading the way in South America."
