Chef Don Glee, Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern’s new corporate chef, will be based in the company’s Bloomfield Township, Michigan, test kitchen. The restaurant and bar concept has 19 locations found in Michigan, Indiana, and Missouri.

Glee will work in partnership with Jeff Nickel, director of food and beverage, to create new menu items and themes, ensure guest satisfaction, build and maintain vendor relationships, develop and implement quality standards for food quality and presentation, define and implement food preparation procedures, set product purchasing specifications, prepare and monitor food cost budgets, and oversee marketing reviews of guest feedback.

He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the foodservice industry. Prior to joining Bagger Dave’s, he served as chef at 123 in Grosse Pointe and at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. The author of “Ride the Flavor Wave” on blurb.com, Glee most recently operated a private chef company servicing Chicago, as well as Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Grosse Pointe, all in Michigan. He also worked as an in-house private chef in Grosse Pointe.

“Chef Don Glee is an excellent addition to the Bagger Dave’s family,” says Michael Ansley, president and CEO of Bagger Dave’s. “We have had a longstanding relationship and know his skill and philosophy will align with Bagger Dave’s ‘fresh, never frozen’ approach.”
