In the month and a half into 2014, Another Broken Egg Café has opened four new full-service restaurants and will open an additional five in the first quarter alone. The better-breakfast and lunch chain that cracks more than 50,000 eggs per week has doubled in size over the last two years and plans to continue that growth into new and existing markets, both this year and beyond.

The four new Another Broken Egg Café franchise locations now open and operating are located in Houston, two in New Orleans, and the fourth in Winter Park, Florida. The upcoming openings will be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Boca Raton, Florida, Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Siesta Key, Florida, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Additional openings for 2014 are planned in Florida, Tennessee, and Texas.

“The breakfast-brunch segment continues to see higher and higher volumes and we see that trend continuing into the coming years,” says Nick Binnings, vice president of Brand Development. “We’re also embracing trends within our segment, offering new healthy menu items such as quinoa, granola and salmon, as well as having liquor selections from bloody mary’s to mimosas.”

According to a new data from newBrandAnalytics, a company that combs through online restaurant reviews to determine popular offerings, dishes that incorporate eggs are some of the most highly demanded for customers this year. As the name suggests, Another Broken Egg Café has no shortage of egg-related dishes.

Launched in 1996 by a former engineer, Another Broken Egg Café strives to take eggs and the entire breakfast experience to a whole new level, giving patrons dining experiences that are nothing short of flawless. The chain has become a darling of the South and Southeast, often with wait times between 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

“The growth we’re seeing really validates that our concept is desirable outside of our current hub and exist anywhere in the U.S.,” adds Binnings.

The full service breakfast and lunch chain is currently targeting Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City for franchise growth. Ideal sites for Another Broken Egg Cafe franchises include upscale lifestyle centers, resort communities, and hotels.
