Partners Larry Griggers and New Orleans native Kevin Armantrout of Hoosier Hospitality Group are pleased to announce the opening of the second Another Broken Egg Café (ABEC) in New Orleans on February 10. The Lakeview neighborhood location closely follows the January 27 opening of its sister ABEC on Magazine Street, which raised $3,823.30 during pre-opening festivities for Café Reconcile. Patrons wishing to dine in advance of the February 10 grand opening can also support Café Reconcile by visiting the new Harrison Avenue ABEC for a pre-opening experience on Thursday, February 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, February 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The public is invited over these two exclusive dates to dine at no charge with donations being accepted for locally based Café Reconcile.

“We are delighted to be a part of the revitalization of Lakeview, which was so hard hit by Hurricane Katrina, as this promising area of New Orleans is emerging as a vibrant, family-oriented community,” says Kevin Armantrout, president of Hoosier Hospitality Group. “We also want to continue our support for Café Reconcile with our opening festivities at Harrison Avenue. This important nonprofit organization helps better lives in New Orleans and will be assisting us with placing new talent in both our new restaurants.”

ABEC mug collectors will also look forward to the handsome Fleur-de-lis motif on the hand-thrown stoneware. This motif is exclusive to the New Orleans ABEC locations and was selected by Armantrout as it is the symbol of the city’s pride and loyalty. The mugs are designed by Deneen for service in the restaurant and can be purchased. Each ABEC location has its own distinctive symbol on the American made design which is produced in various colors year round.

Both ABEC locations in New Orleans are locally co-owned and operated by Armantrout and his partners. The Franchisor of Another Broken Egg of America was founded by Ron Green in 1996 with its first location in Mandeville, Louisiana, and it has become a leader in the morning restaurant sector with 30 restaurants to date across the southeast United States, California, and Indiana.
