Benihana, the operator of Japanese theme and sushi restaurants, announced the opening of its newest location in the Mall of America on May 12. The restaurant will bring its teppanyaki tricks, delicious Japanese cuisine, and dining experience to one of the most popular malls in the world.

Guests will be able to take a break from shopping and dine and relax in the new 6,865-square-foot restaurant, which includes a sushi bar, cocktail lounge, and expansive dining area. The restaurant's lounge and in-mall patio areas offer a casual atmosphere to enjoy Benihana's delicious cocktails and fresh sushi options. Guests looking for an entertaining culinary experience can take a seat at one of the restaurant's 24 teppanyaki tables, where chefs will show off their world-famous hibachi tricks.

"The Mall of America is known for being a premier destination for entertainment and fun, making it the perfect fit for the Benihana brand," says Benihana CEO Steve Shelmon. "We are always looking for ways to bring our outstanding food and unique dining experience to new guests, and are extremely excited to announce the grand opening of our newest location."

Within the Mall of America, the restaurant will be located on the third level on South Avenue near Macy's.
