LM Restaurants, a family-owned and -operated business based in North Carolina, was honored with a Steady Growth and Profitability Master Award from the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce at the annual Pinnacle Awards Ceremony at the Raleigh Convention Center. President and owner of LM Restaurants Lou Moshakos took the stage to accept the award.

LM Restaurants is the hospitality management firm affiliated with 20 restaurants in the Southeast and eight brands. These restaurants include Carolina Ale House, Taverna Agora, Bluewater, Oceanic, Hops Supply Co, Eddie Romanelli’s, Henry’s, and New Bern Subs. 

The Carolina Ale House concept is the growth brand in the family of restaurants with 13 North Carolina locations and nine licensee locations in South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and Florida. Carolina Ale House will open additional restaurants this year in Summerville and Charleston, South Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Chapel Hill and Raleigh, North Carolina.

In respect to additional growth, Moshakos announced this week his intentions with the 155 N. Front St. building currently under contract in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. His vision is to open a brewery/restaurant there. No other details were released, and the project is not expected to start until late 2015. Mike Nadeau with Creative Commercial Properties is working with Moshakos to close the deal.

LM Restaurants, Inc. was established in 1978. In 2013, LMR was named the 35th Fastest Growing Private Company in the Triangle in the Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 and was ranked 29th in the North Carolina Mid-Market Fast 40 by Business NC.
