Consolidated Concepts, a leading supply chain partner for multi-unit restaurant brands, has hired former Red Robin and Sysco Foods executive Ray Masters as part of the company's business development team.

Consolidated Concepts has $16 billion in buying power and represents more than 30,000 restaurant locations. In his new position, Masters will be responsible for ensuring the company's new business development initiatives.

"Ray's more than 30 years experience in the food service industry, and his deep knowledge of the restaurant supply chain, make him a great addition to our business development team," says Bruce Reinstein, president, Consolidated Concepts. "His desire to serve the industry and to work collaboratively with our partners is a great testament to what he brings to our team."

Ray honed his skills at Steak n Ale during the early stages of his career and under the guidance of Norman Brinker. From there, he spent seven years with Sysco Foods as a national account sales representative and served more than 14 years as vice president of purchasing for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, where he helped the chain grow from 45 to 450 units. Additionally, he held supply chain positions with Johnny Rockets and Piology, and was a pork producer for Johnsonville.

"I am excited to be working with Consolidated Concepts, where I can leverage my experience to help emerging and mature brands with cost-savings strategies," Masters says. "We offer customized vs. commoditized solutions for restaurant operators because one size does not fit all. I love this business and Consolidated Concepts is the blue ribbon provider in this space. Everyone here understands restaurant dynamics."
