In conjunction with Mothers Day, La Madeleine Country French Cafe is reminding guests of another unique and special gift to share with a mom, sister or other loved ones.

The “Card for the Cause” program is a continuing partnership between La Madeleine Country French Cafe and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure which helps fund cutting-edge research and life-saving community outreach projects.

“La Madeleine looks forward to again honoring mothers in a joint effort to fight cancer,” says la Madeleine COO, Phil Costner. “We received positive feedback from our guests in years past and we hope to continue serving our patrons in our 60 cafes and in the community.”

The “Card for the Cause” can be purchased at any la Madeleine Cafe for $35 and entitles guests to 10% off most purchases for one year. Previous cardholders may renew their “Card for the Cause” for $25.

Now through September 28, 2011, La Madeleine will donate 1% of the total purchases made by patrons that present a “Card for the Cause” (excluding alcohol and gift card sales) to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the chain has committed a minimum donation of $50,000.

“We hope our guests see the “Card for the Cause” as a way to say ‘thank you’ to their mothers and loved ones while also making a difference for the future,” says Costner.
