Hooters will give 20 percent of sales this Friday, April 1st to kick off a fundraising effort that will last throughout the month of April.

The money raised will be donated to Philadelphia Phillies centerfielder Shane Victorino’s foundation supporting underprivileged youth.

Guests can download the 20 percent donation voucher at www.shanevictorinofoundation.org, www.hootersofphilly.com, or receive one at any of the eight participating Hooters and bring it in on April 1st in support of the effort.

“We are hoping to raise $10,000 toward this great cause and are excited to partner with the Shane Victorino Foundation and support the local youth,” states Jenna Folk, vice president of marketing.

“His success with the Phillies has already made him a local hero, and his passion for this foundation complements his passion on the field.”

The April 1st event at Hooters, dubbed after Victorino’s nickname, the “Flyin’ Hawaiian,” is the start of a month-long fundraising effort at the Hooters of Bensalem, Pennsylvania; Concord, Pennsylvania; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; East Brunswick, New Jersey; Princeton, New Jersey; Tropicana in Atlantic City, New Jersey; New Castle, Delaware and Newark, Delaware.

The Hooters Girls will be selling Flyin’ Hawaiian wall hangers to raise additional funds for the cause.
