Dickey's Barbecue Pit's new location in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will hold its grand opening on Friday with a promotion to win free barbecue for a year and $1 throughout lunch.
Famous for its slow-smoked signature meats and home-style sides, the Texas-based chain will celebrate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while patrons enjoy the $1 barbecue sandwiches.
"Our neighbors here in Tulsa love great, hickory-smoked barbecue and judging from our success so far, they love the Dickey's," says Mark Woeppel, the owner/operator.
"This past month has been truly rewarding—hard work finally culminating into positive results. The grand opening will be a great opportunity to celebrate the Tulsa community and officially mark the beginning for this Dickey's location."
Based on previous openings of the franchise in other areas, the event is projected to draw a large crowd of people participating in the festivities.
Dickey's is growing at a rapid pace with 147 locations open in 33 states to date.
