Knotty Deck Entices Austin Residents with Patio

The Renaissance Austin Hotel proudly announces its new concept: The Knotty Deck. A playful, urban treehouse feel that is sure to become an Austinite favorite for drinks and grub, this venue will provide out-of-town visitors with a true Austin experience, located at 9721 Arboretum Blvd.

At this patio and veranda concept, drinks will flow to complement delicious food as the luxury Austin hotel opens its doors to the public in September, inviting Austinites and visitors to experience an unforgettable party complete with live music.

The Knotty Deck mimics the Renaissance Austin Hotel's Austin-inspired interior and has diverse personalities of the Lone Star State in a Texas-sized outdoor area. Visitors will enjoy views of the picturesque Texas Hill Country while listening to Austin-inspired live music.

A suspended fire pit allows guests to watch the rising and setting Texas suns while sitting under the billowing oak trees that provide the ideal shade elements for cool, relaxing evenings on the veranda.

Whether meeting for after-work drinks with coworkers or grabbing a beer with friends before a night on the town, at the Knotty Deck, guests will find all the libations needed to inspire a fun evening. Visitors can unwind with buckets of cold local craft beers and specialty cocktails including the 512 In Bloom, Austin Mule with Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka, or Lavender Lemon Drop drinks.

Favorite beverages are even better accompanied with the Austin hotel's innovative sharing creations. Deck-goers can indulge in savory Texas-style dishes such as: 16-hour cooked brisket-stuffed jalapenos wrapped in hickory smoked bacon or crispy masa corn cakes with charred tomato salsa. White chocolate bread pudding with candied pecans and a "splash" of Rebecca Creek bourbon or cast iron Blackberry Cobbler with Amy's Ice Cream are the ideal treats to conclude a memorable evening among the trees.

"The Austin experience will truly come to life in the unique atmosphere of our new deck," says Rob Gillette, general manager of the Renaissance Austin Hotel. "Our fun, laid-back environment will keep Austinites and visitors from all over the world coming back for more."
