Adelphi Hospitality Group announced the opening of Salt & Char, a modern American steakhouse in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Salt & Char is the first venture from the Adelphi Hospitality Group, who has partnered with globally recognized and award-winning chef and restaurateur Chef Gray Kunz for its hotels and restaurants. Restaurateur veteran Christophe Chatron-Michaud will run the management of the Adelphi Hospitality Group restaurants and hotels, heading Front of House at Salt & Char. Executive Chef Braden Reardon will run the Salt & Char kitchen under the direction of Chef Kunz.

Salt & Char radiates an inviting and stylish metropolitan sophistication. The space is evocative of Chef Kunz’s signature culinary style of unique, innovative, and modern twists on the classics.

Centered in the Market Garden of New York, Salt & Char takes full advantage of the abundance of natural resources in the surrounding area. The restaurant is committed to responsible sourcing and providing top quality grass-fed dry aged meats, Black Angus, and American Wagyu.

Dinner highlights include starters such as Chilled Watermelon Gazpacho with tomato, cucumber ($9) or Lobster Cobb with avocado, bacon, lemon vinaigrette ($28); Charcoal Fired specialties like Branzino with Muhammara Sauce, lime juice, black olive mosto ($36) and Asian BBQ Baby Back Ribs with watercress, jicama, and fingerling potato chips; Cuts of meat like Grass-fed Herondale Farm Ribeye (20 oz., $48), Heritage Rich View Farms Double Pork Chop (16 oz., $38), and Wagyu Snake River Ribeye Cap Steak (9 oz., $68); also available are dishes to share for two including Dry Aged Tomahawk Steak with salt baked potato, roasted garlic, sauce au poivre or Béarnaise (36 oz., $135), Cranberry Island Lobster with Wellfleet oysters, wild shrimp, scallop ceviche ($115), or Veal Tenderloin “Chateaubriand” with foraged mushrooms and Madeira (20 oz., $82).
