Cultivating Spirits hosted a cannabis pairing dinner in cooperation with Aspen, Colorado, on Jan. 22.

The dinner for 54 served and allowed consumption of cannabis, harmonizing fine wine with high-end cuisine. The two-hour invitation-only “Cultivate Your Roots” dinner served five gourmet dishes, each individually paired with wine and cannabis.

Cultivating Spirits joined forces with Native Roots Colorado to pave the way for an exclusive cannabis-fusion complimentary dinner to kick off X Games for Aspen. The dinner was attended by influencers inside the privately owned Crystal Palace in downtown Aspen.

Cultivating Spirits educated attendees on the benefits of cannabis and how to pair terpene profiles of cannabis with the flavor profiles of food and wine for an unparalleled sensory experience.

“It was groundbreaking to see a room of 54 people mindfully consume cannabis and relate the flavors of the terpenes in the Grand Daddy Purps with the roasted duck breast,” says Cultivating Spirits owner Philip Wolf.

Cultivating Spirits Chef and author of best selling Ganja Kitchen Revolution Jessica Catalano and Chef Cortland Collins produced the menu. Each course had a boutique wine pairing provided by The Infinite Monkey Theorem, an Urban winery in Denver, that further tied the palate to the mind.

DJ Congo Sanchez of Thievery Corporation guided guests through a complete auditory journey with a set inspired by the regions of the dishes as a live artist painted to visually stimulate the evening.

Munch & Company, a Denver-based event production company, worked in conjunction with the City of Aspen and Pitkin County to transform the Crystal Palace into the VIP Native Roots Tree House, a cannabis-friendly venue for after parties following the X Games.

“The City of Aspen could not have been a better host city. They worked with us to accommodate our event within the regulations of Colorado State Law,” says Munch & Company CEO Freddie Wyatt.
