MAD Social, the first new restaurant from the Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants group in 14 years, is launching brunch on April 9. MAD Social, located at 1140 West Madison Avenue in Chicago, is a neighborhood spot that offers globally inspired fare, select wines and beers as well as classic cocktails with a MAD twist.

Executive Chef Mariela Bolaños has created a globally inspired brunch menu that continues in the same inventive style that has made MAD Social a new West Loop favorite. Guests will see a satisfying mix of sweet and savory options that can be shared or enjoyed individually. The tightly curated menu showcases Chef Bolaños’ love of incorporating authentic ingredients from different cultures, while sourcing local and artisan products whenever possible. Most recently the executive sous chef at Bar Siena, Chef Bolaños brings considerable culinary experience to the MAD Social kitchen that are informed from her years of traveling across the globe.

Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sundays.

Menu highlights:

Monte Cristo: Mortadella, smoked bacon, Chihuahua cheese, brioche and deep-fried. Served with hash browns and mixed green.

Short Rib Benedict: braised Korean style short ribs, toasted pretzel buns, Brussels sprouts kimchi, togarshi hollandaise. Served with piri spiced hash browns.

MAD Shakshouka: oven baked eggs, sun dried tomato sauce, roasted potatoes, spinach, peppers, mushrooms, fresh herbs, grana. Served with toast points.

Chicken & Waffles: churro waffle, chicken breast Milanese, MAD hot sauce, crisp pork belly, maple syrup.

Cocktail highlights:

Whiskey for Breakfast: Buffalo Trace bourbon, maple syrup, liquid smoke, egg white

Night Vision: Gin, bilberry basil syrup, fresh pressed carrot juice, amaro lucano, lavender bitters, cucumber, and basil.

Bloody Mary: Sangre Verde Pepper infused Ketel One Vodka, housemade green Bloody Mary mix, pepper garnish.
