Len Carpenter, Bertucci’s Corporation

Bertucci’s Corporation is pleased to announce the hiring of Len Carpenter as CEO and the newest member of its executive team.

Carpenter will lead Bertucci’s operations team and will be responsible for its 95 restaurants.

He has over 35 years of hospitality industry experience, spending the majority of his career at the Ninety-Nine Restaurants, most recently as its executive vice president of operations.

During his tenure, Carpenter was part of the executive team that led the sale of Ninety-Nine Restaurants to O’Charley’s in 2003, and remained with the new owners for five years subsequent to the sale. For the past two years, Carpenter has been a franchise owner and developer of The Meat House, a retail butcher concept in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

“Len’s proven success in the restaurant industry makes him an ideal choice to join our leadership team,” says David Lloyd, CEO of Bertucci’s.

“Len brings a great mix of experience, energy and fresh ideas to this critical role in our company. He is one of the top operations executives in the casual dining industry. Len will add tremendous value as we strive to deliver the highest quality menu, best in class hospitality and the world’s best pizza. We are very fortunate to bring in someone of Len’s caliber to head up our operations team and help lead the company.”

“Bertucci’s is a great restaurant company,” Carpenter says. “It’s a concept with a rich heritage and has evolved around a culture of people, the brick oven and pizza. It was extremely attractive to me because of their belief in quality and philosophy of taking care of people. This is a perfect fit and I am excited about working with the entire Bertucci’s family.”
