Peter Kosley, senior vice president, and Thad Beckner, assistant vice president, of the Henry S. Miller Brokerage retail division, were recently awarded the assignment to exclusively represent the Lund Family (Maid-Rite Diner Franchisee) in their North Texas expansion plans. Kosley and Beckner will be responsible for locating strategic real estate sites for the Lund Family throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan and north Texas areas to open a number of Maid-Rite restaurants.

Recently, Kosley and Beckner completed the lease for a 3,090 square foot space at Green Oaks Shopping Center in Arlington, Texas, for Maid-Rite’s first north Texas location. Located at 4101 West Greens Oaks Blvd., Green Oaks Shopping Center is a 65,000 square foot-plus, Kroger Grocery-anchored neighborhood retail center. Green Oaks Shopping Center is a premier retail location in Arlington situated at the northeast corner of W. Green Oaks Boulevard and Pleasant Ridge. The Maid-Rite Diner will be located in an end-cap with excellent visibility from Pleasant Ridge and the Kroger parking lot. The center is surrounded by established residential communities, businesses, and retail strips.

“An ideal location for lunch time customers and evening diners in the Green Oaks, Arlington area,” says Bradley Burt, president/CEO of Maid-Rite Corporation. Burt says he is “very pleased to have franchisees of the Lund Family’s caliber; they provide extensive restaurant management experience and we are lucky they have joined our team."

Currently an iconic restaurant establishment in the Midwest region of the United States, Maid-Rite Diner is one of America’s first quick-serve, casual-dining franchise restaurants. Since 1926 Maid-Rite Corporation’s diners have been famous for their one-of-a-kind fresh loose meat ground beef sandwiches seasoned to perfection and served on delicious hot buns. Maid-Rite’s menu consists of items that can be made to your order. The Lund Family and Maid-Rite Corporation are excited to share their “Great Taste on the Loose” with north Texas residents.

Maid-Rite Corporation is in extreme expansion mode, contemplating Maid-Rite franchises in all areas of the United States. The Lund Family and Maid-Rite plan to potentially open 40–50 new locations scattered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth and north Texas areas.

Any plans around Austin or closer to San Marcos or maybe Kyle? That would so awesome! I started eating Maid Rites many years ago in Rockford, Illinois! I have often dreamed of eating one again and a chocolate malt! My Dad took me often. Good luck and God Bless you all!
