The Women’s Foodservice Forum announced its new Leadership Development Workshops (LDWs) launching in 12 cities this fall to enable women to accelerate career growth through one-day workshops with nationally-recognized speakers supported by 365-day content and ongoing learning touchpoints with workshop leaders and fellow participants.

Built on WFF’s 12 research-based Competencies for Successful Leaders, the immersive leadership experience will provide participants with the tools to immediately amplify their impact, while building skills and networks to accelerate long-term career growth through ongoing support.

Designed for emerging leaders and directors, WFF’s 2018 Leadership Development Workshops, READY TO LEAD: 5 Strategies to Accelerate Your Career will engage participants in hands-on strategies to build a personalized roadmap to success over a 12-month journey supported by peers and the national leadership experts guiding the sessions. The 5 Strategies will focus on:

Empowering Gender Equity: Tap the research to identify barriers that hold women back and learn to empower yourself and others to propel gender equity and career success.

Breaking Through Mental Barriers: Silence your inner critic and rewire your brain for success.

Closing the Ambition Gap: Recognize and foster leadership qualities in yourself and others, develop executive presence and learn to lead with influence and impact.

Building Confidence Through Competence: Assess your key areas of strength and opportunities for growth to create a customized action plan.

Cultivating Meaningful Connections: Build a network of key stakeholders to help you achieve professional and personal goals.

“We have all been to conferences or read books and felt inspired to change and grow only to have life get in the way,” says workshop speaker and best-selling author and psychologist Elizabeth Lombardo, Ph.D. “We are changing that dynamic by walking every step of the way with women to cement new skills, create new habits and rewire their brains for success. We don’t want to impact people for a day, we want to change their lives.”

Workshop co-leader, best-selling author and founder of Loving on Me, Katrina McGhee, adds, “Participants will not only be equipped and ready to take the next step in their leadership journey, they will also have built a strong network of other women leaders with whom they can learn, network and grow throughout the year.”

In addition to the full-day workshop registration includes:

  • WFF Membership with additional online learning opportunities
  • WFF Leadership Competency Assessment (online measurement tool)
  • Exclusive monthly Facebook Live Webinars
  • Access to WFF Lean In Circles in host cities
  • Quarterly WFF Networking Pop-Up at one of our sponsor locations
  • WFF Book of the Month Online Meet Up

Lombardo is an executive coach, motivational speaker and best-selling author of Better Than Perfect: 7 Strategies to Crush Your Inner Critic and Create a Life You Love. McGhee is an author, women’s advocate, CEO of Loving on Me and a consultant helping organizations work to improve the lives of women and children around the globe.
