Mexico City’s premier restaurant group, Grupo Carolo, and California-based Eureka! Restaurant Group, officially opens the third La Popular CDMX location inside Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.  Located on the casino floor, the upscale chef-driven Mexican restaurant is anchored by authentic dishes from Mexico City with a modern twist, an extensive agave-centric cocktail program and warm hospitality set in a lush, contemporary space. 


Helmed by Executive Chef Cesar de la Parra, La Popular’s menu is an elevated take on classic Mexican dishes, comprised with exceptional ingredients and innovative preparations. To celebrate its Sin City location, La Popular’s Las Vegas location features specialty items exclusively available at the new location, such as Quesabirria Tacos with braised brisket and beef shank, Manchego, consommé; cilantro, and onions; Al Pastor Enchiladas with marinated pork and melted cheese, Chile de arbol salsa and pineapple, cilantro and onions; and Ribeye or Adobo Prawns Fajitas with charred jalapenos, onions, potato, bacon, bell pepper, melted Manchego cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. La Popular also serves breakfast all day Friday – Sunday and featured menu items include Molletes with crispy cheesy toast, eggs, bacon, refried beans, pico de gallo and guacamole; and Breakfast Tacos with scrambled eggs, carnitas, guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa verde and housemade corn tortillas.

Not to be outdone, La Popular’s cocktail menu is something to revel in. Led by Vice President of Beverage Operations Trevor Tyler, the agave-centric program boasts striking craft cocktails perfect to enjoy day or night. Cocktails include classics like LP Margarita with Monte Alban Silver tequila, agave, lime and Cointreau; Paloma with Monte Alban Reposado tequila and housemade grapefruit soda along with bespoke craft cocktails such as Oaxacan Jellyfish with Dakabend Oaxacan rum, pineapple, lime, blue lemongrass, coconut cream and served with a lemongrass smoke bubble; and Desert Rose with hibiscus lime infused Monte Alban Silver tequila, Del Maguey Vida mezcal, cinnamon infused Licor 43, prickly pear, pomegranate and lemon. For the adventurers, La Popular houses an impressive selection of agave spirits encompassing more than 80 labels of tequila and mezcal including blancos, reposados, añejos, extra añejos, cristalinos and rosas along with mezcals ranging from espadín, jabali, mexicano, tepextate, and more. The extensive collection features rare Mexican spirits, as well as emerging artisan products sourced from a variety of small-batch distilleries in Oaxaca, Jalisco, and Guadalajara.


The lush and contemporary interiors transport locals and tourists alike to an exotic getaway with ambient lighting, brass details, greenery inspired by Mexico’s tropical surroundings, and real wooden flooring throughout. True to La Popular’s brand, guests will be able to spot their signature disco ball in the center of the restaurant, along with nods to the mirrored globe throughout. A custom neon sign is also featured on the extended veranda.  Located in the center of the restaurant, imbibers can find a one-of-a-kind taco station complete with two meat trompos serving up freshly sliced Ribeye and Al Pastor with homemade corn tortillas. For a truly immersive experience, guests can be seated at one of 10 spots at the taco bar to have a front row seat. 

La Popular is open Monday – Thursday, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 12 a.m. Happy hour is available Monday – Friday from 4 – 6 p.m. with deals on draft beer, wine, margaritas and select appetizers and tacos.
