The Restaurant at The Norton, the premier dining destination inside the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, has launched its new fall/winter menu. Helmed by Chef Jair Solis and operated by the experts at Constellation Culinary Group, The Restaurant offers light, modern American fare with nods to coastal influence complemented by scenic garden views and a casual setting.

The Restaurant’s new menu includes a seasonal small plates selection featuring Salmon Crudo ($22), cured salmon, passionfruit and yuzu vinaigrette, crème fraîche, toasted pistachio, crispy turmeric kataifi, basil oil, micro-cilantro and nori; Guacamole ($12), mixed with charred red onion, corn, lime and sweet tear pepper and served with blue corn tortilla chips; Spicy Tuna Bomb ($17), with avocado mousse, jalapeño oil and green goddess dressing; warm Cacio e Pepe Zucchini Chips ($16) served with Parmesan-Reggiano dip; Wild Mushroom Tart ($18), with parsnip purée, Gratitude Farm wild mushroom blend, frisée and truffled vinaigrette; Hasselback Butternut Squash ($16), with balsamic reduction, butternut purée, crumbled pistachios, basil oil and rosemary pepitas; and Parmesan-herb Pile High Fries ($12) served with ketchup.

Starters include the Fall Chopped Salad ($18), with chopped baby gem lettuce, baby kale, haricot vert, butternut squash, Gorgonzola, local citrus segments, toasted quinoa, spiced pepitas and fig vinaigrette; Caramelized Brussels Caesar ($18), caramelized Brussels sprouts mixed with baby gem, Parmesan crostini, white anchovies, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing; Spinach Salad ($18), mixed with frisée, warm roasted wild mushrooms, warm crispy potatoes, bacon, pecorino and truffle vinaigrette; Butternut Squash Soup ($11), a creamy blend of roasted butternut squash and granny smith apple with a fig jam puff pastry and crema. Guests can add protein to any salad: Chicken ($8), Seared Salmon ($12),  Shrimp ($10) or Halloumi ($8).

The menu also features several large plates, including Pan-Seared Chicken ($28), served with smashed potatoes, haricot vert and avocado chimichurri; Roasted Salmon ($35), with aji panca, quinoa cake, fennel and citrus salad, and fennel soubise; and Shrimp Carbonara Ravioli ($28 – dinner only), ricotta ravioli with roasted fennel and mushrooms, crème Reggiano sauce, crispy prosciutto and poached egg. 

The dinner menu also introduces a new “Supper Club” section, which includes Prime Rib Supper Club ($58), a 12-ounce prime rib served with crispy herb potatoes, a popover, au jus and horseradish sauce; Creamed Spinach ($10); and Popovers ($12 for two), served with citrus duck fat butter.

On the lunch menu, a special “Handhelds” section includes Shrimp Tacos ($21), Julia’s fresh blue corn tortillas, crispy shrimp, roasted salsa, crisp corn, crema, cotija cheese and cilantro; BLT ($18), rosemary loaf topped with garlic aioli, bibb lettuce, tomato and Nueske’s bacon; the classic Norton Burger ($23), topped with Norfolk sauce, pickles, onion and bibb lettuce on a brioche bun; and the Impossible Burger ($24), a vegetarian patty served with Norfolk sauce, pickles, onion, and bibb lettuce on a brioche bun. 

Brunch, which is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., features many of the same items as the lunch and dinner menus, but with added options such as Smoke Salmon ($22), a Makeb’s everything bagel topped with cream cheese, hard-boiled egg, onion, capers and cucumber, and French Toast ($18), served with blueberry compote and zabaglione. Guests can also order Mimosas or Bloody Marys ($25 for bottomless or $13 each).

Of course, no meal at The Restaurant is complete without dessert. Options include Rum Cake ($12), topped with cinnamon, roasted pineapple and whipped cream; White Chocolate Pot de Crème ($12), with toasted pistachio and raspberry; the signature Cookie Plate ($10) with sourdough chocolate crackle, lemon poppyseed cookies and pinwheel rugelach; and the chef’s daily selection of Sorbet ($10).

The Restaurant at The Norton includes a 165-seat indoor-outdoor dining room featuring stunning views of the Pamela and Robert B. Goergen Garden and a collection of art and midcentury-modern decor infused with soothing natural elements. Natural light, foliage and garden artwork are seamlessly integrated into the space, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. The Restaurant also boasts a private dining room that can seat small groups of 12-15 and large groups of up to 50. The room is separated from the main dining room by three large wooden panels with two separate entrances. 

The Restaurant at The Norton is located at The Norton Museum of Art, 1450 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. It is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and stays open for dinner on Friday for Art After Dark, with the last seating at 9 p.m. Museum admission is not required to dine at The Restaurant.
