The newest location shattered the company's record by making over $100k during their opening week.

During the week of December 16th, 2024, the newest and 35th location of the Flying Biscuit Café right outside of Houston in Cypress, Texas has proven just how much Texans love this restaurant.

The Cypress community was eager for the Flying Biscuit Café to open. The restaurant estimates that over 4,200 customers dined during the opening week making a total of $103k in sales shattering an internal Flying Biscuit Café record.

During their first week open, the Cypress Flying Biscuit Café offered their standard grand opening week of specials including Flying Biscuit Breakfast, Stuffed French Toast Breakfast, Hangover Hash, Mr. Big Burger, and their Shrimp & Creamy Dreamy Grits each for just $1 on various days. The Cypress favorite though was clearly the Mr. Big Burger with over 1,500 sold in a day.

“We are elated that our community responded so well to our opening,” says General Manager Lisa Green, a Houston native. “We knew that the Houston area loves this restaurant, but this truly exceeded our expectations of a grand opening, and we are so thankful.”

Throughout the rest of 2025, the iconic breakfast staple is excited to bring its unique offerings to new markets, including Spartanburg, S.C., Huntsville, Ala., Knoxville, Tenn., Tallahassee, Fla. and Jonesboro, Ark.

“Our goal is to continue breaking this record with each new opening,” says Andrew Scherzer, Vice President of Franchise Development. “The Flying Biscuit Café is lucky to receive such enthusiasm from both consumers and franchisee owners. 2025 is starting to look like it might just be the year of the biscuit.”

The Flying Biscuit Café specializes in southern-inspired breakfast and brunch options like stuffed French toast, omelets & scrambles, bacon-wrapped shrimp & creamy grits, and burgers & wraps. Aside from serving an average of 20,000 fluffy biscuits each week, the Flying Biscuit kitchen travels and can cater events of any size with breakfast & lunch buffets, party trays, and individual box meals.
