The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a lease for its first café in the St. Louis metro, at 1016 S. 5th St., St. Charles, MO 63301, bringing the Atlanta-born all-day breakfast and brunch brand to Missouri for the first time. The site sits less than a mile from Interstate 70 and close to Lindenwood University and is the first of three locations planned under a multi-store development agreement the ownership group signed in November 2025.

Franchisees Latrell Hayes, Kennon “Kip” Barber and Randy Barnes chose the site for its everyday visibility and traffic—it sits just off Interstate 70 and near Lindenwood University, in a neighborhood the group already knows well. Hayes and Barber are experienced multi-unit restaurant operators, and they bring a track record of high-performing teams and consistent operations to the Flying Biscuit system.

The lease is the first concrete step in the partners’ St. Louis plans. Their signed agreement covers three cafés to start, with a longer-term goal of growing to as many as 10 Flying Biscuit locations across the metro over time. It also marks the brand’s first café outside its core Southeastern footprint.

“This is a part of town we already know well, and it just fit,” said Latrell Hayes, franchise partner. “We’re right off I-70 and down the street from Lindenwood University, in a community that already loves a good breakfast. We can’t wait to open the doors and become a regular part of people’s mornings in St. Charles.”

Flying Biscuit is known for its all-day breakfast, cheerful service and comfort food with a twist—from stuffed French toast and its famous shrimp and grits to hearty omelets, vegan scrambles, burgers and wraps. Many locations also offer a full bar with brunch-forward cocktails. An opening is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, with the date to be announced as buildout progresses.

Real estate representation was provided by New Growth Realty’s Delicia Lacy on behalf of the franchisees and Pace Properties’ Kate Grewe Milford and John Shuff for the property.
