Samy Onsi, a former VP of Sales, is opening his second The Brass Tap, a Tampa-based craft beer bar, in Milton, Georgia, on November 15, 2023. The new concept will be located at 5310 Windward Pkwy, and will provide new job opportunities to the Milton community.

Onsi was born and raised in France and has always had a passion for food. After 16 years in the corporate industry, Onsi wanted to take a step back from corporate life and focus on putting his family first and giving back to the community. Onsi decided to invest in the brand nine years ago. At the time, Brass Tap only had eight units across the country. Onsi believed in the brand, and it was a risk that he was willing to take.

After signing on, Onsi has seen major success with the concept. From helping with menu innovation to surviving the pandemic to seeing the brand expand to 41-plus units, Onsi is very happy he invested in the brand when he did. Onsi’s first location in Dunwoody is now coming up on its eighth anniversary, and he looks forward to expanding to more Brass Tap locations in the future.

“Nine years ago, craft beer was something with double-digit growth every year,” said Onsi. “I knew that was something I wanted to invest my time and money in. We also offer over 70 beers on tap and I love that we focus on local beers and also offer a full menu.”

Onsi is excited to continue expanding with The Brass Tap and is looking forward to introducing the concept to the Milton community.

The franchise also entered new target markets this year, with a new The Brass Tap opening in Katy, Texas. This new restaurant will bring increased brand awareness for The Brass Tap, which has scaled to reach 25 states in the South, Midwest and East Coast and continues to expand to more areas of the United States.

“We are fortunate to be growing quickly with operators like Samy,” says Brass Tap’s CMO Heather Boggs. “We are excited to continue to grow with their team across the greater Milton area.”
