Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol will be hosting a week of giving in advance of their trip to Hogs for the Cause 2020. From September 9 to 15, Fox Bros. and Taqueria del Sol fans can look forward to “Hogs for the Cause Taco”—a collaborative dish featuring Fox Bros. smoked pork and chef Eddie Hernandez’s green tomato salsa verde, red onion, and radish escabeche served on a flour tortilla. Make it a combo with a Classic City Lager from Creature Comforts as they join the team for this week of giving. This special taco will be available for $2.99 all week during lunch and dinner service at all Georgia Taqueria del Sol locations (including Athens), Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, and the Que-osk.
Hogs for the Cause is an annual competition barbecue event held in New Orleans that raises money for pediatric brain cancer outreach. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Taqueria del Sol, and Home Team BBQ, collectively “Team Foxeria del Sol” are proud fundraising partners for Hogs for the Cause. Since 2014, Team Foxeria del Sol has pledged and raised nearly $1,000,000 that is directly distributed among families in Atlanta and North Georgia via a partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Aflac Cancer Center.
All sales from “Hogs for the Cause Tacos” will be directly donated to their fundraising “piggy bank” for Hogs for the Cause. This fundraising event is one of many throughout the year as a continuation of team Foxeria del Sol’s ongoing partnership.
