Chef Susanto has worked with three celebrated Michelin Chefs and at the finest luxury hotels and restaurants spanning six countries. His unique global background blends to create a one-of-a-kind superior culinary experience, with skills acquired in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, including the Caribbean. As Executive Chef, Susanto will oversee The Ritz Carlton-Bacara’s six culinary venues, including the signature Angel Oak, housing the resort’s 12,000-bottle wine collection. Chef Susanto’s dining experience will elevate any traveler’s stay at this seaside village, providing exquisite hospitality, relaxed luxury, and refined elegance immersed in nature.

Chef Susanto’s extensive culinary expertise is born from creating luxury dining experiences at world-renowned hotels with the following Michelin Chefs: Chef Raymond Blanc – Le Petit Blanc Brasserie, Oxford; Chef Pierre Koffmann – The Berkeley in London; and Chef Pino Lavarra – Al Messila, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Doha, Qatar. His global cooking experience includes the Tudor Park Hotel, UK; Hotel Burj Al Arab, Dubai; The Ritz Carlton St. Thomas; JW Marriott Hotel Cairo; and The Oberoi Udaivilas, India. Most recently, Chef Susanto’s contributions as the Executive Chef at the 5-star Ritz Carlton Sharq Village, Doha, led to the “Best Hotel in Qatar” Award from Conde Nast, the “Best Hotel Team” Award at Salon Culinaire Doham 2020, and the Luxury Lifestyle Award 2022 for his restaurant El Cedro.
