Co-owners Max Lofti and wife Arezoo Armaghan announce the reopeningd of Persian Basket Kitchen & Bar June 5 for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch services. For the first time since March 16, the dine-in area will be open to guests, offering them a taste of authentic Persian cuisine while enjoying the romantic and upscale atmosphere.

The Johns Creek community recognizes co-owners Lofti and Armaghan from Persian Basket, their wildly popular online service and food market that is still open and thriving today. The online food market’s website launched in 2015 with many of the goods coming directly from Iran and, since then, Persian Basket has expanded its selection to include ready-made Persian meals. Often time-consuming to prepare, the dishes offer a simpler way for the Atlanta community to enjoy authentic eats without hours in the kitchen.

Just weeks before Coronavirus shuttered business earlier this year, Lofti and Armaghan quietly opened their second brick-and-mortar restaurant, the first being Divan in Buckhead, with immediate success. Persian Basket Kitchen & Bar crosses thousands of years of culinary traditions with more modern techniques to create a blend of sought-after flavors in the heart of Johns Creek. Influenced by the fresh tastes of her home, co-owner and chef Armaghan took great lengths to curate the menu with an unmatched level of expertise and detail, resulting in perfectly balanced meals that please all palates. Once reopened on June 5, dine-in guests can expect those same authentic dishes on a limited menu to allow for more space in the kitchen.

Lofti and Armaghan carefully planned the reopening to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Persian Basket Kitchen & Bar will follow all CDC guidelines, in addition to having developed the highest level of safety protocols. All employees have been trained on proper safety and sanitation procedures, and are required to wear a mask and gloves at all times. Daily health inspections for staff members will include temperature checks before entering the building. The restaurant will undergo a thorough cleaning process each day before opening, and all tables and chairs will be sanitized after each seating. Guests are encouraged to use hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant and will also be given disposable menus to help stop the spread of germs. In addition, all tables will be positioned at least six feet apart to maintain social distancing, and all parties are limited to no more than ten people per table. Finally, the patio will also be open for guests to enjoy and will follow all aforementioned safety protocols.

“The safety of our customers and staff has always been of the utmost importance,” says co-owner Max Lofti.     

“This reopening is a second chance to introduce our community to the Persian Basket Kitchen & Bar experience. We have worked hard to have our culture permeate all aspects of the restaurant and we can’t wait for the community to dine with us, whether it be their first experience with Persian cuisine or not.
