Steve Martorano is partnering with Paris Las Vegas to bring his restaurant to the Las Vegas Strip. The popular cook, DJ, and cookbook author will bring his brand of Italian American fare to a second Las Vegas location in early 2014. In addition to his popular restaurant at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Martorano’s will join the dining roster at Paris Las Vegas, fast becoming Las Vegas’ next culinary destination.

 The new location at Paris Las Vegas, joining Martorano’s Rio spot which will remain open, will serve lunch and dinner and have a projected 200+ seats, including a large bar area and patio dining reminiscent of Martorano’s original restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The new restaurant will feature dishes fans have come to love like his signature Eggplant Stack, South Philly Cheesesteak, “Macaroni” including Rigatoni Sunday Pork Gravy and Bucatini Carbonara, and the World Famous Homemade Meatballs about which Gourmet Magazine proclaimed, “Steve Martorano, a muscular, tattooed presence in this boisterous restaurant may just make the best meatball in the world.”

 The restaurant, occupying the large space along the property’s Le Boulevard shopping and dining corridor that is now Le Provençal, will showcase the familiar atmosphere found at the Rio location from classic movie scenes to the sounds of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bobby Darin.  Of course, as the evening progresses, the volume will increase and the tempo will as well seguing into classic R&B, disco, slow jams, and a bit of classic rock.  As at Rio, don’t be surprised to see the occasional guest cutting a rug.

“I have been a fan of Martorano’s at Rio since it opened in 2007.  With roots on the East coast, I appreciate the authentic tastes and flavors Steve infuses in his restaurants,” says David Hoenemeyer, regional president of Paris Las Vegas. “I’m looking forward to opening the second Martorano’s Las Vegas restaurant next year, the first on the famed Las Vegas Strip. Martorano, known as the “Godfather of Italian American Cooking,” started his career as a D.J. and created the first restaurants with D.J. booths in the kitchen. He now blazes a new trail again; this time expanding his brand with his second Las Vegas location and first on the famed Strip. The Paris Las Vegas location is sure to be a celebrity favorite like its Rio sister, which has welcomed notables from the music and sports worlds and big and small screens.
