Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a traditional casual dining restaurant known for its handmade pizza and craft beers, announced that its newest location is slated to open in Pueblo, Colorado at 3204 North Elizabeth Street. The new restaurant, scheduled to open on October 26, will be the city’s first location and will create around 120 jobs for the area.
To celebrate the upcoming opening, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom will be giving “Pizza For a Year” booklets to the first 100 people in line. The restaurant has also partnered with Posada, a community based nonprofit organization that provides shelter, supportive services and housing to homeless families, unaccompanied youth and single individuals, and will donate one dollar from every Chicago 7 specialty pizza ordered on opening day through November 6 to the organization, as well as proceeds from Old Chicago’s preview events on October 23-25.

To signify Old Chicago’s new location in Pueblo, the restaurant has also partnered with DiSanti Farms, a fresh fruit and vegetable farm located on the St. Charles Mesa in Pueblo, to offer roasted chilies as a pizza topping. Additionally, the restaurant will feature the “DiSanti Classic” as a permanent menu item for guests to order all year-round—Old Chicago’s Classic Pizza topped with roasted chilies.
Old Chicago serves its made-from-scratch pizza in locations nationwide and offers three crust types that are made in-house every day—Chicago Thick, a buttery hand-tossed cornmeal crust, served in the pan; Tavern Thin, which has a light and crispy texture and is served square-cut and Ale Crust, a soft and lightly sweetened handcrafted crust spiked with brown ale.
