This summer, Mrs. T’s Pierogies, the nation’s largest producer of frozen pierogies, has partnered with renowned restaurateur and Iron Chef America star, Chef Jose Garces.

Chef Garces, with deep roots in Philadephia, teamed up with Pennsylvania-favorite, Mrs. T’s Pierogies to create four restaurant-inspired recipes that put a creative spin on his favorite classic recipes and showcase the versatility of the product: Pierogies Poblanos, Szechuan-Style Pierogies, Pierogies Piccata and Chicken-Fried Pierogies. This summer, Chef Garces introduced the Chicken-Fried Pierogies to the menu at two of his locations in Philadelphia:

Froman’s stand at Spruce Street Harbor Park, one of Philadelphia’s most popular summer attractions, featuring colorful hammocks, floating gardens, craft beer and food from popular Philly chefs. This recipe was featured on the menu from May 19 through July 14.

Balcony Bar at The Kimmel Center, Garces’s new pop-up bar offering spectacular views and tastes of Philadelphia. Mrs. T’s Pierogies will be on the menu through September 1.

Since May 19, Chef Garces has sold 2,093 Chicken-Fried Pierogy dishes at Spruce Street Harbor Park and the Balcony Bar—that’s 6,279 individual pierogies and 523 boxes.
