Margherita Italian Meats, a dry sausage, cured deli meats and pizza toppings brand, has opened entries for its Celebrate Autentico! sweepstakes that gives foodservice operators the chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to Italy to experience the 2022 World Pizza Championship.  

Margherita, a gold sponsor of the United States Pizza Team, is offering foodservice operators the opportunity to join the U.S. Pizza Team on their journey to Parma, Italy to compete for the championship title.

Entering the sweepstakes allows operators the chance to cash in on a trip of a lifetime that includes airfare to Parma, Italy for the winner and guest, seven-night double occupancy accommodations at the luxurious Sina Maria Luigia Hotel Parma, breakfast and dinners, passes to the World Pizza Championship, tickets to the final award show dinner, transportation, official U.S. Pizza Team uniforms and an experienced translator to travel with.

“What better way to celebrate the art of pizza than by experiencing it at an international competition in Parma, Italy dedicated to showcasing the best of the best pizza makers in the world,” says Ed Wayda, senior brand manager for Smithfield Culinary. “Margherita’s cured meats are a staple ingredient for some of the competing members, so we look forward to seeing our product in action during the competition and experiencing it with the winner of this sweepstakes.”

The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who own, operate, or manage a foodservice establishment, or who are the primary decision makers for meat purchasing for a foodservice establishment and are in good standing with their employer. Contest ends October 31, 2021.
