Maizano Cocina, renowned for its vibrant and modern interpretations of regional Mexican cuisine, has debuted its highly anticipated brunch menu. The brunch menu will be served every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., inviting guests to savor an array of inventive dishes crafted by Executive Chef Alan Sanz.

Sanz, who has helmed kitchens around the world, continues to honor the rich culinary tapestry of Mexico with Maizano’s new brunch offerings. “Our brunch menu is a celebration of Mexican gastronomy, showcasing the diversity of flavors and ingredients that each region has to offer,” comments Chef Sanz. “From masa-based snacks to hearty main dishes, we’ve created a menu that brings a fresh and contemporary twist to traditional Mexican brunch.”

Maizano’s brunch menu features an array of vibrant dishes inspired by the farmers’ markets of Mexico City. Guests can start their brunch experience with creative small plates like the Taco de Tianguis featuring Cecina, chorizo, salsa verde and crispy potatoes, or the Tostada de Pulpo Encacahuatado, a rich combination of grilled octopus with salsa macha and encacahuatado mole. For those seeking a refreshing option, the ever-changing Crudo de Temporada or Aguachile Negro with blue shrimp cucumber, and avocado are a perfect choice. Main dishes like the Blue Corn Pancakes crafted with heirloom corn continue to celebrate maiz are topped with house-made granola, seasonal fruit, requesón, and honey. Hearty options include grilled chicken Chilaquiles de Mole Coloradito, lobster-tail filled Enchiladas de Langosta, and a twist on the traditional Huevos Rancheros with char-grilled steak, panela, and salsa roja.

The restaurant’s beverage program, led by General Manager Israel Mejia, complements the brunch menu with a selection of refreshing cocktails crafted exclusively with Mexican wines and spirits.

In addition to the new brunch menu, guests can enjoy the restaurant’s renowned lunch and dinner offerings, each reflecting Chef Sanz’s dedication to Mexican haute cuisine. On weekends, guests can experience a special prix-fixe chef’s dinner available exclusively at the 6-seat chef’s counter, which peers directly into the exhibition kitchen, offering an intimate and immersive dining experience.

Maizano Cocina, located at the entrance of Mercado Gonzalez Northgate Market (2300-C Harbor Blvd.), continues to be a culinary destination in Costa Mesa, known for its vibrant ambiance and meticulously crafted dishes.
