Troy Guard’s Celebrity Chef Taco and Charity Series continues at Los Chingones, with Chef Orlando Benavidez, taco maestro/CEO of the popular food truck, Bits n’ Pieces con Cerveza. Chef Benavidez presents his take on the taco with the Beef Shank Barbacoa Taco including Modelo Negra marinated beef, cilantro, green onion, and crumbled manchego cheese.
Says Guard, “We always have a lot of fun with the Celebrity Chef Taco Program and love giving Denver chefs the opportunity to give back to some incredible charity organizations. Chef Baenevidez makes some badass tacos we are so excited to be working with him and his charity of choice, Brent’s Place.”
TAG Restaurant Group’s (TRG) Guard, started off this exciting series in January 2022 to help the communities affected by the devastating Marshall Fires with a fundraising program benefiting Boulder Community Foundation. He wanted to open up the opportunity for other Colorado Chefs to get creative and raise funds for a charity near and dear to their hearts.
$1 of every taco goes towards the Chefs charity of choice with Chef Benavidez choosing Brent’s Place, a long-term home away from home for children and families with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses while they receive treatment at local hospitals.
