Knouse Foods, an established grower-owned fruit cooperative, adds three new and unique sour flavors to its line of Musselman’s Squeezables Apple Sauce pouches. With no artificial flavors and no high fructose corn syrup, Squeezables Sour Raspberry, Sour Lemon and Sour Cherry are the perfect complement to any kids’ meal or a convenient, on-the-go snack for commercial restaurants and non-commercial operations.

According to Knouse Foods’ proprietary consumer research, children between the ages of six and twelve were more likely to choose the Sours product over a competitive top-selling apple sauce. During the research, 70 percent of parents also stated they are likely/highly likely to buy Musselman’s Squeezables Sours, and 95 percent said someone in their household would be interested in eating the Squeezables Sours.

Designed with kids in mind, they are easy to eat and filled with great-tasting Musselman’s Apple Sauce parents know and trust. The new Squeezables Sours are made with American apples, have no artificial colors, no added sugars and are free of GMOs, fat and gluten. Operationally, they are shelf stable and require no prep work.

The expanded Squeezables Apple Sauce line now includes six, on-trend flavors in single-serve pouches:

Sour Raspberry

Honey Cinnamon

Sour Lemon

Sour Cherry

Todd Michael, director of sales for Foodservice at Knouse, says, “Our new Squeezables Sours are a perfect pick for any menu. Packed with flavor, they’re designed to appeal to younger consumers’ adventurous taste buds and love of all things sour. These apple sauce pouches are fun, healthy and convenient, helping operators save time and labor while still serving great-tasting menu items kids will enjoy eating and adults will feel good ordering.”

Knouse’s full line of single-serve Musselman’s Apple Sauce products are available in a variety of sizes, including a 2-ounce cup for smaller portions, a classic 4-ounce cup, a 4.5-ounce cup that fulfills the minimum daily fruit requirement, and a 6-ounce BIG CUP ideal for older kids and adults with larger appetites.
