Chef Anthony Vitolo, along with hospitality visionary, Rob Crosoli, announced the debut of Vitolo, a family-owned and operated dining destination, opening within the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel on November 28, 2023. Hailing from New York City, Chef Anthony Vitolo has earned a dedicated following due to his distinguished background as the Executive Chef and Partner at the iconic Emilio’s Ballato restaurant in Manhattan. With the same steadfast commitment to authentic Italian cuisine, Vitolo is expanding his culinary empire to introduce the distinctive flavors of New York’s celebrated Italian cuisine to the vibrant coastline of Florida.

“Fort Lauderdale Beach is experiencing a culinary boom, with a wave of new restaurants and high-caliber chefs. We are thrilled to bring Vitolo and Chef Anthony to South Florida to enhance the growing culinary scene,” says Rob Crosoli, Vitolo Partner. “Vitolo will not just be another restaurant; it will boast three individual immersive dining experiences for all our guests. At Vitolo, we’re fully committed to welcoming all guests into our family through the most intricate details of our service and hospitality, catering to their specific expectations. Whether it’s recalling a guest’s preferred beverage preparation, remembering a birthday, or an anniversary, or even noting specific table preferences…no detail is too insignificant. For our team, it’s about not only delivering exceptional cuisine but also adding those personal touches to ensure our guests feel right at home.”

Old-school Italian vibes will set the tone for Chef’s take on classic New York Italian cuisine at Vitolo, where time-honored recipes, cooking methods, and culinary customs have been passed down through generations. Drawing from his profound culinary heritage, Chef Vitolo has crafted a menu that weaves together the rich tapestry of Italian history with a fresh twist. Highlights include the Mozzarella en Carrozza, breaded crispy mozzarella served alongside marinara sauce; Linguine alla Vongole, linguini with fresh top neck clams, olive oil, and garlic; Vitello Antonio, center cut veal chop for two, thin Panko crusted with vodka sauce, sweet peas, crispy prosciutto, & fresh mozzarella; along with a selection of signature hand-crafted pizzas made with fresh Italian-imported ingredients straight from Chef Anthony Vitolo’s family farm in Sarno, Italy.

“My culinary journey began in the kitchen of my family’s restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato in Manhattan, where I learned the importance of authenticity and hard work,” says Chef Anthony Vitolo. “Now, I’m excited to introduce these traditions to the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach with the opening of Vitolo. I’ve designed the menu with signature beloved classics that evoke a blend of nostalgia and innovation in a single dining experience. Drawing from my family’s own farm in Sarno, we’re committed to bringing only the best and freshest ingredients to Vitolo, ensuring our guests savor the authentic flavors of Italy.”

The restaurant’s ambiance has been meticulously designed to offer three distinct dining experiences all under one roof. Vitolo’s Cucina offers the perfect destination for a “chef’s table” style experience through its open-kitchen design that places diners right in the heart of the culinary action. This design enables diners to immerse themselves in the cooking process, fostering an authentic, home-cooked dining experience. Just beyond the walls of the Cucina, you’ll find Vitolo’s beloved supper club lounge, known as the Sala Arco, where guests are transported back to the glamorous supper club era of South Florida’s golden art deco age. Here, patrons can take a seat at the opulent arched bar and savor a signature cocktail crafted by skilled mixologist, Jarmel Doss, or select a table and indulge in an extensive a la carte dining experience. Lastly, entering Vitolo’s outdoor Terrazza, guests will discover a picturesque setting for romantic al fresco dinners, which encapsulates the rustic ambiance of Roman trattorias with the coastal charm of the Amalfi region.

Vitolo expertly blends the vibrant energy of South Florida with the restaurant’s treasured family legacy, striking a synergetic balance between modern elegance and the timeless tradition reminiscent of Nonna’s cooking for Sunday night dinners. Through its dynamic design, three individual dining atmospheres, an extensive wine collection, a thoughtfully curated cocktail menu, and the culinary mastery of Chef Anthony Vitolo, Vitolo guarantees a captivating and heartwarming Italian dining experience amidst the stunning backdrop of Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Vitolo is located within Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach | 551 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. The restaurant will be open 5pm-10pm, Sundays-Thursdays and 5pm-11pm, Fridays & Saturdays.
