Grotto Pizza announced that Dave D’Ignoti accepted a promotion to lead the team at Grotto Pizza Grand Slam in Lewes (17467 Shady Rd, Lewes, Del.) and is relocating from his former position at Grotto Pizza Grand Slam in Seaford. D’Ignoti, an employee for over thirteen years, will manage the daily operations of the restaurant and work to ensure the highest compliance with company standards in all areas of business, including food preparation, delivery, and guaranteeing that exceptional quality products and services are delivered to each customer.

A Millsboro resident, Dave started working for Grotto Pizza in 2008 and enjoys the fast-paced atmosphere and friendly staff that has become his extended family after many years working shoulder-to-shoulder, delivering a top-notch experience to guests. “I’m excited to interact with new customers in the Lewes store and welcome old and new faces to the Slam,” says D’Ignoti. “It’s also an honor to ‘receive the torch’ from longtime manager, Ralph Galbreath, as I’ll be sure to uphold his style of legendary service for years to come.”

“Dave brings a positive, can-do energy to every task that’s presented to him and we believe he’s the perfect fit for our Grand Slam Lewes location,” says Jeff Gosnear, Vice President of Grotto Pizza. “It’s part of our mission to promote team members that present exemplary leadership and work-ethic, and Dave represents both qualities tenfold. We’re thrilled he accepted the GM role at one of our flagship locations and are excited for a busy summer season.”
