Troy Guard and the TAG Restaurant Group today announce that Denver food truck Uptown & Humboldt and German-inspired coffee and ice cream concept Eiskaffee will be joining the roster at the upcoming Grange Hall, expected to open later this summer.

Troy Guard and his partners on this project, Kevin Hawkins and Ken Himel, are working to transform the nearly 13,000 square-foot space into a community focused place to gather, eat and play—and these two local concepts are an exciting addition. It was recently announced that The Crack Shack, out of San Diego, will make their Denver debut at Grange Hall as well.

Uptown & Humboldt has been a mainstay in the food truck scene since January 2020, helmed by Chef Gio Diaz and partner Hayden Hess. The menu features Mediterranean specialties including gyros and more eclectic fare inspired by their travels around the world.

This concept was created by their love of street food, culture, and community. Gio and Hayden travel and carefully curate specials and new menu items based on the places they discover.

Says Diaz, “We are honored and privileged to have Uptown & Humboldt in Grange Hall. We are very excited that everyone can try ‘A Taste of Our Travels.’ We hope to inspire not only a culinary experience, but a need for travel and wander.”

Eiskaffee is a German-inspired coffee and ice cream concept from High Point Creamery owners Erika Thomas and Chad Stutz. The menu will feature eiskaffees (cold brew coffee topped with vanilla ice cream, grated chocolate and whipped cream), and High Point Creamery homemade ice cream (think Honey and Bergamot Orange, Scotch Pudding and Bavarian Cream), coffee and also pastries.

The idea was born out of a love triangle of travel, coffee and ice cream. Chad had experienced an eiskaffee on a visit to Munich shortly after he met Erika. When the couple was playing with the idea of developing a new concept, that culinary experience popped back into Chad’s head. Seeing as how Erika has obviously had a long love affair with ice cream with the success of High Point Creamery, marrying coffee + ice cream into one concept made perfect sense for the entrepreneurial couple.

Says Thomas, “We’re so excited to be sharing our new concept Eiskaffee with south Denver! Grange Hall is a fabulous location and it’s been wonderful to see the revitalization of the area.”
