Diplomat Prime announced that Nicolay Adinaguev will take over as the executive chef of this acclaimed steakhouse, effective immediately.

“We’re very excited to have Nicolay on board,” says Howard Wein, of Howard Wein Hospitality, who is leading the transformation of food and beverage concepts on property.  “His proven talent and culinary experience will be extremely valuable to us as we take the next step in evolving this beloved restaurant. Having Nicolay at the helm will ensure that the original chef-driven steakhouse returns to its rightful place as one of the top restaurants in the country.”

Adinaguev comes to Diplomat Prime from Stephen Starr’s Steak954 in Fort Lauderdale, heralded by CBS as a favorite for locals and tourists alike, where he most recently led as Executive Chef. His diverse background—beginning with a childhood in Peru followed by positions at mom-and-pop seasonal restaurants and James Beard Foundation Award-winning institutions—will guide his direction moving forward.

Adinaguev will work with the restaurant’s existing staff on menu development throughout the summer. Prime beef aged in-house, as well as seasonally driven dishes and select perfectly finessed fish dishes are on the horizon, further elevating the steakhouse within this iconic property.
