Cotton Patch Cafe, a Texas-inspired restaurant, honored veterans by presenting a check for $13,504 to the nonprofit organization Homes For Our Troops. Each Veterans Day, Cotton Patch Cafe offers free Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken to veterans and active military. For every Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken sold on Nov. 11, $1 was donated to the organization to provide support for veterans and their families and to assist in the journey of rebuilding their lives.

The check presentation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Cotton Patch Cafe’s North Richland Hills location, where Cotton Patch Cafe President Scott Hudler presented Homes For Our Troops member and veteran Omar Milan.
