The phrase “everything is bigger in Texas” is about to spread nationwide this spring as Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, a Dallas-based casual dining brand, launches its new, jumbo chicken wings. Wing enthusiasts across the country began flocking to Boston’s on February 27 when the new, meatier wings, along with a robust sauce list, made their debut.
The spring campaign, which runs through April 30, is part of Boston’s efforts to highlight not only a superior chicken wing, but a sauce lineup that includes new and returning favorites, all of which will be part of Boston’s offering long term. This spring, the brand is also unveiling its very own Wing Critic in spokesman Spud Crowley. Throughout the campaign, Spud will be shedding light on the little-known anatomy of America’s favorite snack. From the Apex to the Nib and Nub, Spud is helping educate consumers on the meaty structure of the chicken wing. Additionally, Boston’s will be showing guests how to pair some of their signature drink selections with their new and featured wing sauces—perfect for the sports lovers out there!
“When it comes to quality food, we live by the name ‘Boston’s the Gourmet Pizza’, and are committed to being truly gourmet. That means we focus on great chicken wings and the quality of our wings takes top priority. The new, revamped wings are a meatier and tastier product than ever before,” says Vince Runco, vice president of operations. “The introduction of our jumbo chicken wings combined with the fun, educational focus of our campaign are sure to make Boston’s THE place to relax and watch your favorite sporting events this season.”
Along with the launch of the new, jumbo wings, comes the plethora of sauce combinations—giving guests a wide variety of heat profiles to choose from:
- HOT: Atomic, Hot, Mango Habanero, Ragin’ Cajun, Spicy Garlic
- MEDIUM: Creamy Buffalo, Dry Rub Cajun, Korean Barbeque
- MILD: Barbeque, Bourbon Barbeque, Garlic Parmesan
- SAVORY: Asian Glaze, Dry Rub Ranch, Lemon Pepper, Smoked Sea Salt, Teriyaki
As if the jumbo wings, new sauce combinations and educational component weren’t enough, Boston’s will also be creating its own national holiday this spring. April 18th will now be known as National Wing Gilmorgan Day—putting the spotlight on the little know portion of the chicken wing, the Gilmorgan, or the meaty backside of the wing. Guests who enroll in the MyBoston’s Rewards program will receive a free single order of the new wings, redeemable on the 18th in-restaurant.
