El Chile Group founder Carlos Rivero announced today the restaurant group’s expansion to Old West Austin with the relocation of El Sapo. After three years of success on Austin’s iconic East Side, the beloved burger restaurant will close its doors after dinner service on Monday, May 29 and reopen at its new address, 900 West 10th Street, on June 5, 2017 at 11am.

“Over the past three years, El Sapo has gained a loyal customer base in East Austin. With this relocation, we look forward to offering our existing customers a beautiful, redesigned space, while introducing the restaurant’s signature offerings to new guests in the Old West Austin area,” says Rivero.

To celebrate the relocation and toast the last weekend in its East Austin location, El Sapo will host three days of Burger Brunch. The extended Memorial Gay Weekend-themed version of its signature Burger Brunch party will kick off Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During brunch guests can indulge in $1 mimosas, $6 O Gurl! Chamoy Margaritas, an assortment of Tex-Mex Brunch Burgers and a $5 Bloody Mary bar featuring house-made Bloody Mary mixes, pickled veggies, meats, cheeses, condiments and tasty Mexican spices.

Additionally, each day during brunch service, the restaurant will feature beats by some of Austin’s best DJs:

Saturday, May 27—GirlFriend (Ezra Edwards)

Sunday, May 28—Mouthfeel (Jeremy Timothy-John von Stilb)

Monday, May 29—Mid^Heaven (Rainey M Fraser) & Yami (Gavin Garcia)

El Sapo’s final day of service on Manor Road will be on May 29 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
