Another Broken Egg Cafe, the award-winning, upscale daytime-only breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant brand, hosted its biennial franchise convention this September in Nashville, Tennessee. The convention brought together the brand’s franchisees, vendor partners and Cafe Support Center team to celebrate its continued growth and to honor exceptional franchisees and corporate team members as the brand approaches its milestone 100th cafe opening.

Themed “Spirited Connections,” the brand’s largest convention to date welcomed more than 200 attendees from across the country, including general managers for the first time ever. The convention provided opportunities for those in attendance to participate in educational seminars, networking events and a charitable giveback activity in partnership with the HeartStrings Foundation in Nashville, while celebrating key accomplishments from the past two years.

“Every time we’re able to come together as an organization it is a humbling reminder of how Another Broken Egg Cafe came to be the exceptional brand that it is today,” says Paul Macaluso, CEO and President of Another Broken Egg Cafe. “Our dedicated teams of franchisees, general managers and corporate support members work incredibly hard day-in and day-out to provide our guests with an indulgent, elevated and inspired dining experience. We’re feeling more energized than ever as we approach our 100th cafe opening, and I thank each of them for the important part they’ve played in helping our brand to reach this achievement.”

With an anticipated 20 percent-unit growth rate in 2023, the largest actively franchising concept in the breakfast, brunch and lunch sector has expanded its footprint with 11 new corporate and franchise cafe openings thru September in existing markets  such as Austin, Texas, Brentwood, Tennessee and West Columbia, South Carolina, and its first opening in Maryland, located in  Elkridge. In addition to celebrating the new cafe openings, the brand also celebrated the addition of over 15 new franchisee groups to the Another Broken Egg Cafe family, a record-setting Mother’s Day, where 50 cafes set new sales records, more than 30 cafes which surpassed more than $2 million dollars in sales in 2022 and recognized its Franchisee of the Year, Nate and Lianne Straathof, franchisees in Austin, Texas.

The 2023 Summit also provided the opportunity for executive team members to share a look at what’s ahead for the brand including food and labor cost modules, technology updates, upcoming marketing initiatives, new menu offerings and a patio optimization project which aims to make patio seating available for guests nearly year-round.
